14.10.2021-14.11.2021: Legal services awareness and outreach programs as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav DLSA, Ambala organized mega and micro legal services camps at different nooks and corners of the Ambala District. During these camps Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ambala, Dr. Sukhda Pritam, and members of DLSA along with the team of students of the Legal Literacy Cell of Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt. Made people aware of prevalent social welfare schemes, legal rights, and the role of DLSA. During the camps the students of S.D. College also performed a skit and choreography on the NALSA theme song which became very popular in the district. DLSA also awarded a certificate of Recognition to the Legal Literacy Cell of the college.

26.11.2021 Celebration of Constitution Day

A poster-making competition was organized. Srishty of B. Com I got first prize, Manvi of B.Sc III Medical got II Prize and Kirat of B.Sc Medical III got third prize. The appreciation certificates were awarded by DLSA Ambala.

One Day Legal Aid Camp was organized. Dr Shallu Aggarwal, Assistant Professor, and her team organized the camp on 6 May 2021.

The core purpose of this cell is to create legal awareness among young minds and to identify the problems of their fellow citizens in the neighborhood. This cell has been luminous, live and energetic throughout the year by its activities under the guidelines of Office of The Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ambala. Following activities were organized during the session-

  1. Ragging Help Desk (22-Jul-2019 to 08.2019): Anti Ragging Help Desk was set up in the college in collaboration with DLSA, Ambala Cantt.
  2. State-Level Legal Literacy Function(09-Aug-2019): Rahul Verma won second position in Declamation and got a cash prize of Rs. 8000/- and Ankita Sharma won first prize in PowerPoint Presentation and got a cash prize of Rs.11000/-.
  3. Legal Literacy Campaign(22-Feb-2020)-Following competitions were organized: Skit, Declamation, Debate, Poetry, PowerPoint presentation, Quiz, Painting, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing and Documentary. Winners participated in the District Level Competitions at Government College, Ambala.

Throughout the year by its activities under the guidelines of office of the judicial magistrate cum secretary, District legal services authority, Ambala. Following activities were organized during the session.

  • Lectures on Woman Rights (Speaker: Advocate Mrs. Madhu Chauhan, Volunteer Mr. Balram)
  • Fundamentals Rights and Responsibilities (Speaker CJM Sh. Danish Gupta)
  • Legal Literacy Camp on 22-Feb-2019.
  • Competitions like Quiz, Debate, Declamation, Slogan Writing, Skit, Poetry, PPT Presentations and Essay Writing were organized. Winners participated in District level LLC Function at Government College. Ambala.
