# The solution and score of individual participant will be displayed on corresponding Saturday on Departmental Notice Board.

2 Poster / Cartoon Making o    Rule 1: Participants should use their own stationery (Drawing sheets, Colors, Pens etc.)

o    Rule 2: Theme/Topics will be given to participant, and participant will get their poster completed from home.

o    Rule 3: Decision of the judges will be final.

Rule 4: Judgment criterion shall be on creativity, design, clarity, content and elements present.

Monthly Activity

4 Blind coding Rule 1: Each participant has to write the code for the problem statement, with MONITOR OFF.

Rule 2: Participants whose code gets executed will be given higher preference.

Rule 3: The second preference will be given to code with least number of errors.

Rule 4: In case of tie in number of errors then timing will be considered.

Scoring:

No error with minimum time: +20

No error with next minimum time:+15

No error with next further minimum time:+10

If no candidate with no error then:

1 error with minimum time: +10

1 error with next minimum time:+8

1 error with next further minimum time:+6

If no candidate with 1 error then:

2 error with minimum time: +6

2 error with next minimum time:+4

2 error with next further minimum time:+2

Else candidate disqualified.

TECHNOVANZA-2017 in 2nd week of October, 2017
MasterMinds (Quiz) # Date, Time and Venue will be displayed at least 10 days in advance.

Rule 1: A team consisting of 2 Participants will be given a written test consisting of 30 MCQ’s related to Electronics(8), Computer(8), Aptitude(8), General Knowledge(3) and Entertainment(3).

Rule 2: A team will jointly write the written test.

Rule 3: Each correct answer will get awarded +4 marks.

Rule 4: There will be a negative marking of -1 for every incorrect answer.

Rule 5: In case more than one option is selected, the answer will be considered incorrect and -1 mark will be awarded.

Rule 6: In case a student wants to change the option, put two horizontal lines on incorrect answer as shown below and write new answer and put his signature there. Ans: b

Rule 7: In case of Tie, the winner will be decided on the basis of positive marks scored. In case the Tie is not broken even then, the winner will be decided on the basis of positive marks in Electronics, Computer & Aptitude section combined.

Rule 8: Duration of this Preliminary Round is 30 minutes.

Rule 9: Top 6 teams will qualify for the Final Round.

Rule 10: Final Round rules will be announced on spot.

Showdown (Power Point Presentations) # Date, Time and Venue will be displayed at least 10 days in advance.

Rule 1: A team can consist of maximum of 2 students.

Rule 2: Presentation must be based on any one of the topics as given below.

Rule 3: Time limit for the Presentation is 4-6 minutes.

Rule 4: The Presentation not confirming the Time limit as above shall be disqualified.

Rule 5: Participants can take the help of Hand outs.

Judgment Criteria:

Technical content: 10 marks

Presentation skills: 10 marks

Special Effects: 5 marks

Creativity: 5 marks
