Career selection is a complex process which is unique for every individual depending on various factors in an individual’s environment. The Career Guidance Cell of S.D. College plays a crucial role in guiding students about the various opportunities available to them in accordance to their competency, resources, and personal preferences. The motto of the cell is “Bridging the Gap between Education and Employment”. As the motto suggests, the aim is to assist students to develop employability and entrepreneurial skills so that they make informed choices at one of the most crucial stages of their life. As the students in the college are from diverse backgrounds in terms of social, economic, and academic background, they require a well-planned and organised career counselling at the institutional level for their career progression. Accomplished academicians and professionals assist students by providing a broader source of career information that enables them to explore alternative careers. Taking into account their personal traits and qualities, the cell aims to ensure that students are placed in fields where they have the potential to excel in their respective fields.
